Tynemouth Food Festival, Tynemouth Priory and Castle.

This weekend was my first time visiting the Tynemouth Food Festival! Set in the stunning Tynemouth Priory and Castle with over 80 of the finest local traders and businesses with their delicious offerings of food, drink and entertainment. My boyfriend Rob and I recently moved to Whitley Bay so the festival was just a lovely beach walk away from our house.

We were completely spoilt for choice and had to have a few laps of the marquee and explore the street food stands to be extra sure! We started with a glass of vino from the mobile wine and prosecco bar, Barissimo. Then I went for an amazing Goan Chicken Curry from "On The Goa" paired beautifully with a side of onion pekoras. Rob, as always went for a chicken shwarma wrap from Papa Ganoush, his absolute fave. We sat in the Priory while we ate our feast. We then washed it all down with a lovely cup of tea and a totally scrumptious Carrot Cake Muffin from the The French Oven.

We made sure to pick up some Geordie Bangers for tea on our way out - they'd had a busy day so we were lucky to nab some Broon Ale sausages that were left! We also got a nifty little garlic dish from PoshPots and sampled loads more of the tasty treats from the other talented local traders. I daresay we may be back next year :D
